Vanessa Williams was the first black woman to be crowned Miss America. She is sweet and patient, smart and athletic. One would say this made her popular; something many kids strive

to be. But sometimes it is easier to have books as friends instead of people. However, the stories books share set our standards for life out of reach. They make us feel like our life path is so different from the ones in the books that we are doing something wrong. Sometimes different is right and in this case it is! Do not be afraid to truly be your true self, and live your own life because who you are is amazing and wonderful and fantastic, pretending to be someone else just makes you fake.
